is a woman owned and operated ecologically managed small farm in Sampson County. We produce pasture raised chicken and duck eggs, vegetable plants, year round produce, and natural fibers from sheep and alpacas. I have an BA in Studio Arts from UNCW. I started doing craftshows with my small hand built pottery in 1992. I began doing jewelry around that time as well and eventually switched to metalsmithing.
In 2003, I went back for my Masters and finished my MFA in Metal Design at ECU in 2006. I teach jewelry part time at CFCC, I returned to selling my work directly at shows and markets. It’s so very gratifying to me to sell to the wearer! My work is influenced by my interests in history, anthropology, nature and mythology. I hand fabricate my work, meaning I use traditional silversmithing techniques to create rings, necklaces and earrings out of sheet and wire. I work with sterling, bronze and copper and I also collect unusual gemstones to use in my pieces.
